Water Payment Options
Welcome to Village of Schoolcraft’s online water utility bill payment. We are pleased to offer our customers choices in payment options for water.
Online Payment
Payments are processed through Point & Pay. This service is a safe and reliable way to pay online. A convenience fee charged by Point & Pay will add 3% to the bill and will show as a separate charge on your card statement. The exact amount of the fee will be shown prior to completing the transaction. The minimum fee charged will be $2.00.
In Person
Utility payments can be made in person at the Municipal Complex located at 442 N. Grand Street from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, except holidays. Payments may be made with cash, check, money order or credit card. Payment must be made by 5:00 p.m. on due date to avoid late charges.
Payment Dropbox
A drop box is located next to the entrance doors to the Municipal Complex. Must be in drop box by 5:00 p.m. on the due date to avoid late charges.
By Mail
Village of Schoolcraft, PO Box 8, Schoolcraft, MI 49087. Payment must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on the due date to avoid late charges.

The Water Department flushes hydrants twice a year, during the months of April and October. Hydrant flushing is done to remove any sediments or minerals that may have settled in the water lines.
The Village of Schoolcraft has a Wellhead Protection Program that was approved by the DEQ (Department of Environmental Quality). This program provides for possible contamination sites, increases public awareness, provides awareness of water-contamination issues, explores possible sites for new wells, and promotes the plugging of abandoned wells.
The Village of Schoolcraft issues water bills on a quarterly basis as follows:
- March 1
- June 1
- September 1
- December 1
Effective March 1, 2021:
The water rate is $5.38 per 1,000 gallons.
The Readiness to Serve Charge located on your quarterly water bill is a fee charged to all customers based on the size of the water pipe into the location.
